This error code signals a control board issue. It can have serious consequences: a microwave that starts cooking by itself is likely to cause fire. Here are the step, which you should take to solve the problem.

  1. To remove the top grate, remove the two screws. Open the door and take it off very carefully.
  2. To remove the control panel, remove the screw holding it and press it upwards at the bottom. It will come off easily.
  3. Check all control board elements for corrosion: it may make unwanted contacts and short your buttons. Clean all parts, which seem rust or stained.
  4. Put it back together and plug it in.
